My Ab Buddy was created initially as a way to safely support my back while I was doing lower body calisthenics exercises with added resistance. It started off as an attempt to minimize the amount of time I would need to invest in exercising my lower abdominal muscles in my attempt to get a six pack stomach at 42 years of age. Upon completion of My first prototype of My Ab Buddy I decided to test it by only doing flutter kicks with added resistance and stop doing any other lower abdominal exercises in order to get accurate results of what true resistance would look like without any other lower abdominal exercises contributing to the results.
As I mentioned previously I decided to Only do 1 exercise, ( Flutter Kicks) , during the testing of My Ab Buddy with added weight resistance. ( Ankle Weights) I was already able to do a set of 100 flutter kicks without any Weights on so I started off with 5 pounds per leg. I started with 10 sets of 10 three days a week and worked my way up to 4 sets of 25 and then I increased to 10 pounds per leg and repeated the process until I was able to do 4 sets of 25 and then I moved up to 15 pounds per leg and repeated the process again. I've been able to increase by 5 pounds per leg every 10 weeks and the results truly do speak for themselves!!! I've successfully strengthened my lower Abs to the point of having a six pack and I'm completely convinced that I'll be able to strengthen my lower abdominal muscles to achieve the coveted 8 pack soon.
